Data & methodology
We believe you should know exactly where every figure comes from. Here is how Biznesnetwork sources, refreshes and labels its data.
Market data
Equity prices and indices are aggregated from public market sources. Where a live source is briefly unreachable, we show a clearly-labelled reference snapshot so a page never appears empty — the badge on each market always tells you whether you are seeing Live or Snapshot data, and when it last updated. Figures may be delayed.
Exchange rates
Currency rates are indicative mid-market values from public foreign-exchange providers, refreshed regularly. They are for information only and will differ from the rate your bank or bureau de change offers.
Macroeconomic data
GDP, inflation, population and similar indicators come from the World Bank Open Data API. These are official annual series and may be revised by the source over time.
News
Headlines are aggregated from publicly available RSS feeds. We link to the original publisher and store only short excerpts; full articles remain with their source.
Caching & storage
To stay fast and to be a good citizen to upstream APIs, responses are cached as small files for seconds to minutes at a time. We do not store live market or currency data in a database. CSV downloads are generated in memory at the moment you request them and are never retained.
